Village politics, casteism, exploitation, oppression, rebellion and revenge form the crux of Rangasthalam. Run-of-the-mill stuff, you'd say. But what sets this film apart is its narration.April 02, 2018
The film really belongs to director Sukumar who manages to take up an age-old formula and make it work with his vision.April 02, 2018
The film is not just set in the 80s; it also picks a story template from that era and narrates in a refreshingly raw manner. Sukumar must be credited for fleshing out the characters well enough that they don't seem like caricatures of a bygone era.
